Most often when an individual is on the search for a religion that is suited for them they will take a look at different types. One such individual reiterates a story of looking for what felt right for them and in their particular case they came across the Mormon religion and felt that this was their choice. As a result they are very grateful for all that has come out of it being that they are happy and have a good marriage with children. At the same time life hasn't always been perfect for this particular individual but they still feel very blessed.
The individual that has reiterated this story believes in the Father in Heaven who has a great love for them and also believes in the Father-son Christ that gave his life so that this individual could live again. Also there is a belief the Holy Spirit is their constant companion that guides and directs them. One of the things this individual will relate to you is that it has not always been easy being a Mormon because of the retribution that they have received from non-members that did not understand what their religion was about.
This even included other family members who belong to other churches and were of the opinion that this person did not believe in Christ and actually stated that they were a non-Christian. They now have an understanding that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints does have what they feel is the same beliefs as they are.
They also didn't understand who the Prophet Joseph Smith was and many of their family members were under the misconception that that they were worshiping the individual Joseph Smith as opposed to God. The family again has a better understanding of this and didn't realize what the book of Mormon was either. They now understand that it is a book of scripture for the Mormons that was translated through Joseph Smith who was supposed to have been given the power of God to do so. This is the record of the ancient history which called people up to the Americas. It is in conjunction with the Bible and the Mormons believe that both should be used accordingly.
Some of the teachings of the Mormons are that alcohol is forbidden and the same with cigarettes and drugs. This is something that is taught all the way down through the families. There are to be home evenings spent with family which most often is on a Monday night and this is where the family gathers together just to share special messages and even have open discussions and solve problems. This particular Mormon is strong in their faith and beliefs in constant prayer and knowing and loving the Scriptures and knowing that the Father and Jesus loves them. This is the reason that they have had a good life and are happy in their religion. This individual believes that all should share their beliefs and be tolerant in each other's findings and that one should encourage the other.
