With millions of different beauty products out, and very little directions on how to use them right, it's no wonder that many women use them incorrectly. When they are used wrong, it can easily make you look older and can even create a look that you didn't intend on. No woman wants to look bad or wrong, especially when they are trying to look their best. Well, don't worry any longer about trying to get the right makeup and worry about using them right as well, here are six free secrets to using basic beauty products to help you out:
Basic #1: Lip Gloss - For one of the easiest to use beauty products, it is also one that is misused more often than not. You simply have to use it sparingly and not use too much. Many women overuse their lip gloss and end up globbing it all over their lips, when all you really need is one simple, light coat to do the job. Gloss is made to help your lips look dewy, not dripping wet.
Basic #2: Lip Liners - These are the main culprits behind some of the worst lip stick problems out there and are one of the main types of beauty products that are used incorrectly. Lip liners should only be used to shade in the lips, not to outline them. And, they should be within a shade of the lipstick that you plan to use, not a complete contrast to it. Also, you should not use lip liners to outline your entire mouth with a thick line, use it to shade and color your lips before you put on lipstick.
Basic #3: Eye Pencils - You want to make sure that you find a soft one that will easily glide along your eyelids. Harder pencils will give you a harsh look and can hurt when you apply them. Plus, harder pencils are harder to soften when you are trying to mix colors and blend in your eyeshadow.
Basic #4: Mascara - There are different rules for these beauty products and you want to make sure that you get the right color for your complexion. Also, you want to make sure that you don't over apply and end up with globby bumps all over your eyelashes. Use it sparingly, and make sure that you comb out any globs that get away from the brush.
Basic #5: Eyeshadow - You want a good quality eyeshadow so that you aren't using tons of it just to see it. Also, you want to make sure that you have the right shade for your skin and eyes. Keep in mind that no matter what color your skin and eyes are, silvery eyeshadows will make your eyes look brighter and help revive bags and dark spots under your eyes.
Basic #6: Color Correctors - For some women, they use these on a daily basis when they don't need to. Color correctors are only made to be used for those that have ruddy complexions or problem blood vessels in their face. But, when used without a reason, they are noticeable and look terrible. If you use them, make sure that you have reason to use them.
When you follow these tips on using basic beauty products, it is so much easier to perfect your look and ensure that you don't look older or fall into the "wrong" category. Also, you can then build on making sure that your makeup is perfect and you don't have to worry about messing up too much any longer.
